The Opportunity
We are seeking an innovative and visionary Continuous Improvement Innovation Lead – Engineering to join our team. In this newly created role, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge engineering solutions that drive our mission of innovation and sustainability. You will establish a BESS centre of excellence internally – we have delivered more than any other contractor and are an industry leader; Innovation will play a key role.
You will apply CI methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen to optimise performance and support organisational growth. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design innovative solutions, and oversee their successful execution in developing impactful solutions that benefit our clients.
You will lead the innovation strategy and roadmap for CPP, focusing on emerging technologies and sustainable solutions. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you will lead the implementation of Lessons Learned and maintain design standardisation between engineering design offices.
You are someone who challenges the status-quo and stays ahead of industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to improve business processes.
About You
Desired Skills and Experience
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess:
* Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent.
* 7+ years’ experience at a senior level
* Lean & Six Sigma Mastery – Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with demonstrated experience in driving process improvements.
* Working knowledge of CI methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
* Influencer and CI Mindset Change Agent - Promote a culture of CI across the organisation.
* Turnkey project expertise in transmission and distribution substation design.
* Evidence of a high level of ability in the preparation and review of Engineering design.
* ISO9000 / QA processes and procedures, and AS standards.
* Proven experience in preparing tenders.
