Part of this role will commence in the fast stream rehabilitation unit at Caulfield Hospital, primarily working with patients presenting with a diverse range of subacute conditions inclusive of amputee and orthopaedic injuries.
The other part of this role provides part-time hours to the Outpatient Amputee Clinic, which offers a state-wide service to patients with either an upper or lower limb congenital limb difference or acquired amputation requiring specialist services from a Medical Specialist, Prosthetist, Physiotherapist, and Occupational Therapist. We welcome applicants with existing skills or a keen passion to learn.
In both clinical areas, you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to interdisciplinary goal setting to achieve optimal patient care. Your work will be in the areas of maximising functional independence and occupational performance, seating and positioning, maximising safety, and supporting discharge pathways from hospital to the community. This position will also have a primary role in establishing, monitoring, and reviewing patients' access to NDIS services.
