About the roleJoin our dynamic team at Select Plant Australia!Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Crane Mechanic.This role will be based out of our modern Select Plant Australia, Malaga Depot on a permanent, full-time basis, under the support of a collaborative and inclusive team.We are looking for someone with a positive and proactive attitude, who is able to assist and provide mechanical support on other equipment as needed, but will predominantly be working on a range of fleet Cranes, including (but not limited to) Liebherr LR-series, Tadano RT's, TIDD, Sany.Using your extensive diagnostic skills, commitment to quality control, and safe work practices, our service workshop team will support you every step of the way.Key responsibilities Inspect and diagnose crane fleet for mechanical issues - Liebherr LR-series, Tadano RT's, TIDD, Sany.Perform repairs, general and preventative maintenance.Use technical manuals, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs.Workshop servicing works from simple to complex assignments.Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, high level fault-finding and diagnostics.Customer support, crane inspection and repair.Mechanical, hydraulic & electrical works.Occasional visits out to customer or project sites.Customer support, crane inspection and repair.Experience in LICCON diagnostic software.Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.Assembly / Disassembly for the transporting of equipment.Communicate equipment-status to management.Identify and order necessary parts for repairs.Ensure all safety policies & procedures are followed.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Stay current with industry standards and technological advancements in heavy equipment maintenance About youTo be considered for the role, you'll need to meet the essential requirements below:Essential: Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle Technology (or equivalent) 5+ years' experience as a Heavy Plant Mechanic (essential) Demonstrated mechanical experience working on cranes, including relevant models above.Valid Australian Driver's Licence (min C-Class, manual) Australian Construction Induction Card (Blue/White Card).Unrestricted Australian Working RightsWell-rounded diagnostics skills across hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.Results-driven, positive attitude and the willingness to learn and develop new skills.Dedication to safety and quality standards.Highly Regarded but not essential: HR Driver's LicenceHigh Risk Work Licence (DG, CO)Experience in a plant-hire or logistics depot BenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.We believe in building careers through providing a safe, connected and innovative culture that supports ongoing growth and development.We offer industry-leading benefits such as specialised learning and development programs, a mental health and wellbeing program, industry leading paid parental leave policy, an additional purchased leave option and coaching programs for staff on parental leave.Diversity & InclusionWe are committed to building a workforce that reflects the diverse society in which we live and work.Laing O'Rourke is proud to hold the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Citation - Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be considered.
