In this exciting WHS Policy Officer contract, reporting into the Senior Director, you will be responsible for the following duties:
* Collaborate with SME teams to develop safety and wellbeing frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with legislation.
* Review existing policies with SMEs to ensure consistency across safety and wellbeing standards.
* Prepare briefs and reports as needed.
* Build cooperative relationships with staff at all levels to advance projects and policies.
* Work both independently and within a small team to support the Project Management Office.

To be successful for this WHS and Wellbeing Policy Officer contract, you must have experience with the following:
* WHS and Wellbeing policy/program experience in government.
* Skilled in drafting policies, interpreting, and applying legislation.
* Strong communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders and produce high-quality briefs and reports.
* Project management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Good judgment in policy review, able to work independently under pressure.
* Skilled in WHS legislation interpretation and policy writing in the public sector will be favoured.
* Experience in key government services such as Health and/or Education is desirable.
