Reporting into the GM eCommerce, the Senior eCommerce Manager will provide strategic leadership for the eCommerce function, ensuring short term objectives are delivered and ensuring long-term growth, market competitiveness and alignment with the Myer Customer First Plan. You will develop & execute the Trade plan for our digital channels (own website & marketplaces) through the representation of the merchandise offering, & the prioritisation of offers, range, content, campaigns & brands.
About the role:
* Lead and coach a team to own and trade TPC’s (Trade Product Category), driving growth and meeting ongoing sales & profit targets
* Drive and implement the trade and campaign calendar, ensuring alignment with other stakeholders
* Develop the tactical plan for search, merchandising, filters, attributes and cross selling
* Set trade priorities for TPC’s to inform the planning and coordination of website content
* Optimise categorisation and navigation of the eCommerce platform
* Liaise with SEO agency and digital marketing partners to identify evergreen content opportunities supporting campaigns, product launches and categories
* Oversee briefing, staging, post go live verification testing and manage category creative approvals
* Contribute to homepage priority planner, ensuring delivery of all marketing, trade and content objectives
* Drive the integration of advanced analytics and customer insights into strategic planning
* Daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly trade and content reporting (TPC’s) to inform areas of opportunity through trade actions and content.
Strategic Responsibilities:
* Set strategic direction for the eCommerce business, ensuring short term objectives are delivered while identifying long-term growth opportunities
* Lead the eCommerce team in executing short and long‐term strategies
* Drive integration of advanced analytics and customer insights into strategic planning
* Manage the eCommerce P&L, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
* Engage with senior stakeholders to align eCommerce strategies with company objectives
* Foster the growth and development of the ecommerce team
Trade Specific Responsibilities:
* Develop seasonal eCommerce trade strategies that align with broader market trends and business goals
* Oversee delivery of eCommerce roadmap to deliver the results to achieve targets
About you:
* 10+ years’ experience in an eCommerce role, preferably within a fast‐paced retail environment
* 5+ years’ experience leading a team with a track record of delivering short term targets and growth
* Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders whilst maintaining expectations
* Strong business and financial acumen, with expertise in market analysis
* Experience scoping and leading projects and ability to work in an agile environment
* Strong experience with website analytics, ideally Google Analytics
* Advanced understanding of eCommerce platforms required including experience in platform utilisation
* Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
