Job Description
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a dedicated team of Maintenance Officers.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the School’s facilities are maintained to a high standard. They will lead the effective and safe daily operations of programmed and ad-hoc maintenance across the School.
This role plays an important part of the School’s operations to support other departments on Campus. The Maintenance Supervisor also assists in the provision of logistic labour support (event set up and pack down) to help with School events and functions occurring across campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the School is maintained to a high standard and conduct regular checks of all existing buildings and new building works for defects and repairs
* Engage relevant tradespersons and contractors as required, insuring OH&S and high work standards are always met
* Support School event logistics, providing team members when required, and collaborate with school sections to ensure smooth operations
* Day-to-day management of maintenance team members
Please note that Saturday rostered work will be a requirement of the role and travel to other campuses may be required to support maintenance operations.
The Person:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
* A trade background and/or previous experience in a similar role
* a strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) requirements
* the ability to lead and influence
* Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interaction
* Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook and Word at a minimum)
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to independently schedule daily tasks
A valid driver’s licence and Employee Working With Children Check is a requirement of employment in this position.
