MARS Recruitment is partnering with an automotive aftermarket company that is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their team. The Key Account Manager will be primarily responsible for driving sales growth through assigned key accounts, selected in collaboration with other internal business units. The role requires maintaining strong relationships with strategic partners and working closely with each business to assess and develop product opportunities that drive market share and sales growth.
You will work closely with the internal and external sales teams, product team, National Sales Manager, senior management, and the warehouse manager to ensure strategic partners receive optimal service levels.
This is a sales and relationship-focused role, requiring a clear sales mindset to deliver the desired outcomes.
Responsibilities:Achieving the sales budget.Ensuring that relevant product programs are delivered to customers as per business cases.Developing and executing annual marketing activities for assigned customers.Engaging closely with the warehousing and product teams to ensure continuity of product and service.Acting as a liaison between the product, inventory, marketing teams, and key customers.Communicating strategy and direction to both internal and external state-based sales teams.Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders (marketing, supply, specialty networks, distribution, and wholesale) to ensure awareness of product range decisions, catalog programs, and new merchandise initiatives.Maintaining an ongoing understanding of the business's product and price files to ensure the product range and pricing are relevant in wholesale, trade, and retail markets. This includes conducting regular price checks to ensure competitive pricing.Working with the product team to continuously review current product ranges, ensuring that distribution centers carry active products to support key customers.Coordinating and attending support events, trade shows, and store openings nationally as required, working closely with state BDMs to provide effective support in the most cost-efficient manner.Collaborating with the finance team to conduct key data analysis and assess sales opportunities and financial performance.Structuring support for internal customers as if they were external clients.Criteria:3+ years of relevant industry experience.Strong sales and promotional skills.A solid understanding of business profit and loss, and the drivers of EBIT.A strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket.Additional Information:Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.Interested candidates are invited to apply directly to the role with your resume outlining relevant experience and qualifications.
