Job Description
This is a permanent full-time role based in Camberwell, you will be responsible for directing and leading the facilities operational team to deliver optimal and efficient facilities services aligned to the broader business operations and Group Strategic Plan.
Leading an established team of facilities staff, working with external contractors and consultants to manage and deliver on key projects, you will be an outstanding and respected customer-focused Facilities Manager who prides themselves on ensuring maintenance schedules are up to date, projects run smoothly, adherence with financial business practices, operational compliance and that our business leaders have all the key information they need about the efficient and smooth running of this incredible facility.
Reporting to the Group Facilities Manager, you will forge strong relationships with key stakeholders in accordance with the ‘One Epworth’ model of consistent and standardised service levels to keep our patients safe and hospitals compliant.
You will make an impact by:
* Leading and developing an engaged, solutions-focused, results-driven operational team to deliver an exceptional facilities service to achieve the Performance Indicators, Financial and other indicators (targets) as established by the Group Manager Facilities;
* Demonstrating a strong leadership presence and effectively engaging with in-house Business Units to ensure a coordinated, consistent and timely delivery of services;
* Supporting the delivery of best practice facilities management, ensuring compliance with statutory maintenance requirements and achievement of hospital accreditation;
* Forging strong relationships with key stakeholders to balance the broader group strategy with current and future local requirements;
* Upholding and reinforcing workplace safety compliance for your team as well as contractors and 3rd party suppliers;
* Ensuring that all KPI's and budget are monitored against expenditure and reported on regularly;
* Ensuring all hospital facilities processes and reporting are adhered to;
* Leading, coaching, managing and developing members of the Facilities Team;
* Supporting the development and implementation of strategic and operational business plans for Facilities and driving effective financial management.

You will have strong interpersonal skills that enable you to easily influence, build relationships and earn the trust and respect of your team, colleagues and key stakeholders.
You enjoy leading a wide variety of activities and projects (both major and minor) whilst ensuring that all essential and non-essential maintenance activities are kept in check.
You are dedicated, solutions-focused, outcome-driven and collaborative.
You will have:
* Previous experience in a facilities/engineering management role;
* Strong people management skills and Team Leadership experience;
* Demonstrated analytical skills to assess mechanical and electrical matters;
* Demonstrated knowledge of best practice in the operation of property operations, systems and facilities management;
* Tertiary qualifications with a related trades focus.
