About The Opportunity As a Labourer in our Water Services team, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team performing a wide range of maintenance, repair and construction activities along with the operation of light mechanical plant within the Water Services facilities and reticulation infrastructure, to ensure we provide a safe, efficient, and responsive 24/7 service to the Bundaberg Region. Your responsibilities will include maintenance and construction tasks such as manual handling, pipe laying, concrete finishing, working with mobile plant, working with live sewer and in confided spaces onfined spaces, and chlorine systems. Additionally, the position involves performing mowing operations during designated seasons. The role also requires understanding reticulation drawings, operating and maintaining equipment, participating in after-hours work, providing on-call support, and adhering to safety and environmental practices. About You Hold a current 'C' class drivers licence Possession of a current Class ‘MR’ Licence or the ability to obtain Possession of a “LE” Excavator ticket and or “LS” Skid Steer ticket is highly regarded Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with construction works and maintenance programs Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Council applications. Hold a General Construction Industry White Card (or willing to obtain) Willing to participate in after-hours and on-call roster Water industry training or experience is desirable.
