About the role
The Sustainability Function at Rabobank Australia is responsible for translating,municating, and embedding sustainability into the Banks broader agenda and supporting the Bank to deliver on a range ofmitments and obligations. Thesemitments and obligations relate specifically to emissions reductions, climate risk, nature, and modern slavery. The sustainability team's role is to support and facilitate farm practice change as part of ourmitment as a transition bank.
The Sustainability team has a key role in defining, planning, and executing on sustainability related strategies through policy implementation, education and training, engagement risk-reward frameworks, and transition finance.
This role is to support the sustainability function for Rabobank Australia with a variety of tasks to achieve the key deliverables for both the Global Sustainability Strategy and the Regional Sustainability Plan. These activities will include providing data analysis and insights on strategy and portfolio steering activities, supporting policy implementation and the implementation of sustainability assessment frameworks; and supporting ESG monitoring, reporting and assessment.
The key responsibilities and accountabilities of this role are to:
Data Analysis & Strategy
1. Support the development of strategy through provision of data driven analysis and insights.
2. Provide input into sector specific strategies and sector x country plan updates.
3. Supports policy implementation frameworks.
Monitoring & Reporting Progress:
4. Supports and/ or leads climate and nature measurement and monitoring programs from inception to delivery, including:
5. Farm emissions data capture programs
6. Farm level nature metrics
7. accurate and timely ESG data reporting for regulatory deadlines and internal reporting requirements including quarterly reporting to Head Office, financed emissions reporting and climate disclosures.
8. Supports implementation of modern slavery obligations.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
9. Bachelor's degree or Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, social sciences, or other relevant disciplines.
10. Experience in sustainability reporting, ESGpliance, and risk management.
11. Experience in development of sustainability strategies and plans tailored to specific sectors and countries.
12. Demonstrated understanding of ESG strategies and policies and their application.
13. Understanding relevant sustainability and ESG regulations, guidelines, and reporting frameworks
14. High degree of knowledge in MS Office SuitePower Bi and data analysis skills
15. Analytical skills related to sustainability content.
16. Project and workflow management skills
