About the role
Mater Townsville's Coronary Care & Cardio Thoracic Unit is currently seeking Registered Nurse to join their team. We have multiple positions available for registered nurses of varying levels of experience. Working alongside Mater Education we are able to continue to upskill you and transition into speciality. We are able to offer great flexibility within your employment, being open to either Permanent Part Time, Casual or an initial Fixed-Term Contract – Choice the employment that suits you and your lifestyle!!!
The CCU/CTU is a 40-bed unit (8 dedicated Coronary Care beds), providing a high level of care for acutely ill and chronic cardiovascular/cardiothoracic patients, catering for elective and emergency admissions. Offering a wide variety of cardiac services to the community the team strives for excellence in customer care and best practice.
Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30/hr plus superannuation and +
What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse you will provide quality care to patients with particular consideration to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. You will be willing to work with the current team to plan and deliver clinical excellence. Your skills as a Registered Nurse may see you also be an active participant in quality and safety activities.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
2. Preferred experience in critical care nursing
3. Critical Care Certificate or working towards – desirable not essential
4. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
5. Available to work across all shifts
6. Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
