About this roleAs a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and repair of our facilities, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
This role offers flexibility for work-life balance with the option to work 7:00am – 3:00pm or 8:00am – 4:00pm.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance tasks including repairs, installations, and cleaning.Conduct grounds maintenance such as mowing, fertilizing, pruning, and garden refuse removal.Implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure facility upkeep.Assist and supervise contractors, maintenance workers, and volunteers as directed.Complete relevant record-keeping and administration using the organization's asset management system.What you can bring to the teamWe are looking for an individual with a proactive and organized approach to maintenance, strong prioritization skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.At least 12 months of experience in a handyman or maintenance role.Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements or the ability to acquire within one month of employment.Current driver's license.Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook and Internet Explorer.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a range of stakeholders.Ability to prioritize work to meet business and service requirements.Demonstrated commitment to safety, legislative compliance, and continuous improvement.Fire Safety Adviser qualification or willingness to obtain at our cost.
