The Role
As the Sexual Misconduct Incident Data Curator you will exercise a considerable degree of autonomy; initially responsible for designing and implementing a system to gather, align, and explore data from a variety of Defence sources. You will be required to collaborate with key stakeholders to access, analyse, and understand incident data in order to prepare and publish complex data-based briefs and reports in response to Recommendation 24 of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. These reports will enhance organisational knowledge of the extent of sexual misconduct within Defence, responses to reported incidents, and inform Defence decision making.
About our Team
The Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Office (SeMPRO) is a dedicated multidisciplinary team responsible for supporting individuals who are impacted by sexual misconduct, and preventing sexual misconduct in Defence workplaces. SeMPRO works in three key ways to do this:
* Providing education and training about sexual misconduct prevention and response to Defence personnel;
* Providing support and advice to people affected by sexual misconduct, either personally, or those assisting and managing others, and
* Shaping Defence policy to provide accessible resources that aid those impacted by sexual misconduct, their supporters, and managers.
Expanding on this role SeMPRO will become the curator of all Defence sexual misconduct incident data, including policing, administrative, and disciplinary responses to reported incidents.
SeMPRO offers a collaborative environment where you can apply and develop your expertise to perform an essential function that contributes to good outcomes for the Defence workforce.
