Osborne Richardson are delighted to have been asked to assist this key Transport-focused State Government team with a long-term opportunity in their Asset Management team.
Your new role, will see you join the South Coast team as Senior Civil Engineer, with your focus being road infrastructure asset management.
Your key skills and experience in providing technical advice to support design, construction and maintenance of these assets, will be invaluable.
The role will commence ASAP and run, initially, until January 2026, when 2 x 12 month extension options will kick in to bring the role to January 2028 at a minimum.
In this role, your duties will be diverse across the road infrastructure field and will include: • Conducting assessments of road infrastructure and preparing reports on recommended engineering solutions to particular problems.
• Developing asset management strategies for transport infrastructure that minimise whole of life costs.
• Provision of support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure delivery of program outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
• Determining the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components, and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery.
• Maintaining and applying all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
• Ensuring that all quality management procedures are adhered to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients.
• In managing projects, you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff that would include encouraging As with all of our key State Government opportunities, we seek to partner with the brightest and best candidates in the market.

A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.

Extensive experience conducting assessments of road infrastructure and preparing reports on recommended engineering solutions 3.
A strong track record in preparing asset management strategies for transport infrastructure that minimise whole of life costs.
4.
Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
5.
Current holder of Class C driver's licence.
6.
Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
7.
Provision of own suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) 8.
Criminal History Screening must be undertaken by the successful candidate.
