Lifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible person-cantered support for people living with a disability. Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent, in their own home and in the community.
As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
o Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbies
o Coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skills
o Administering medication and adherence to individual support plans
o Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
o Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when required
o Helping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
Make It Matter – What you will bring to make a difference in other’s lives
o Be willing to work a variety of shifts which includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekends
o Versatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers
o Current driver’s license (mandatory requirement)
o Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
o Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
o Up to date with Covid Vaccinations
o Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageous
