Indigenous Cadetship Program for Nursing and Midwifery
The Indigenous Cadetship Program at Echuca Regional Health provides Indigenous Nursing and Midwifery undergraduate students with an opportunity to gain experience in a health service, build confidence and knowledge, and undertake paid work placement in a culturally safe environment.
To be eligible, you must:
* Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
* Be enrolled in a Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing and/or Midwifery and have progressed beyond your first year of study
* Maintain a pass grade in all subjects
* Reside in Victoria or a cross-border community
You will receive:
* A supportive structure within the organization
* A minimum of eight weeks equivalent full-time paid work placement
* Clinical supervision and support
* A culturally safe workplace
