Cooks (Hospitality & Tourism)

Salary: $65000.00 to $75000.00 per year plus superannuation

The Bunbury Hotel Koombana Bay is currently looking for an experienced Cooks capable of bringing his or her knowledge to our kitchen in order to constantly improve the quality of our services and products.
Qualification Required: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Experience: At least 1 year experience working within a busy kitchen.
Day-to-day tasks and duties will include, but are not limited to:
Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
Cooking food in various utensils or grillers.
Checking in food while cooking to stir or turn.
Ensuring great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
Make sure correct portioning of food be served
monitoring the temperature of ovens and other equipment’s while cooking
Ensuring all food and other items are stored properly
Checking the quality of ingredients.
Monitoring stock and placing orders when there are shortages.
Liaising and working with the head Chef to ensure the safe and efficient production of food, while maintaining all statutory requirements.
Preparing any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins.
Offering a creative menu
Make sure kitchen is Compliance with health & safety standards
