Education Manager (Mechanical Engineering)
Overview: The Education Manager role provides leadership and operational support to enhance educational excellence within the Mechanical Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
* Operations Management
Oversight of teacher performance, timetabling, resource allocation, and student progress. Leadership and management of teaching staff to ensure professional and vocational development.
* Develop and implement strategies for student retention and improved learning outcomes.
* Manage student needs, well-being, and feedback.
* Ensure compliance with assessment validation and continuous improvement standards.
Teaching Materials and Resources
Leadership in the design, development, and evaluation of innovative teaching materials. Ensuring the curriculum meets student needs and industry standards.
* Maintenance of up-to-date and high-quality resources in compliance with regulations.
Student Retention and Engagement
Implementation of support strategies such as mentoring, study skills, and alternative assessment methods. Addressing learner complaints to minimize dissatisfaction and risk.
Industry Engagement and Currency
Collaboration with industry partners to ensure course relevance. Development of educational solutions aligned with current market and industry needs.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
* Relevant vocational and teaching qualifications.
* Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher.
* Registration with professional bodies as required.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
