We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and innovative Senior Manager – Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to join our Shared Services team at Life Saving Victoria's Port Melbourne Head Office. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Shared Services, this full-time role is integral to shaping and executing ICT strategies that drive our purpose.
As the Senior Manager – ICT, you will be at the forefront of transforming LSV’s ICT landscape. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge ICT strategies, policies, and procedures that support our broader organizational objectives and enhance our operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:
Lead and manage the ICT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with financial goals to maximize value across the organization.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to drive operational efficiency, enhance business performance, and maintain a competitive edge in the sector.
Ensure the delivery of secure, reliable ICT services while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Represent LSV at a national level, fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across national and state-based organizations to support shared objectives.
Oversee the evolution of LSV’s ICT strategy, managing systems administration, development, and enterprise applications to improve user experiences and enhance organizational efficiency through innovative solutions.
Lead the ICT support function, ensuring timely and efficient responses to stakeholder requests, while maintaining the smooth administration of ICT systems across the organization.
Manage the end-to-end delivery of ICT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals and objectives.
Drive continuous improvement by automating ICT operations, scaling systems, and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organization’s data and infrastructure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with ICT suppliers, ensuring the timely and on-budget delivery of hardware, software, and services, while managing contracts effectively.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing ICT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and customer service, while supporting professional growth and development.
Lead the ongoing development, testing, and refinement of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), ensuring readiness for any unforeseen events. Develop and maintain relevant ICT policies to ensure business resilience.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you should have a tertiary qualification in IT (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years managing a technology team across development and network/systems. You’ll need proven experience in leading small to medium-sized projects, with strong skills in organisation, problem-solving, and a focus on continuous improvement. A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance, risk management, app development, system security, and troubleshooting is essential, alongside experience in agile practices and project management tools.
You should also have experience in managing internal resources and third-party vendors and the ability to obtain or hold a Working with Children Check. While not essential, familiarity with start-ups, technology entrepreneurship, and growing small to medium-sized IT companies would be beneficial. Knowledge of water safety and Life Saving Victoria or similar organizations is an advantage.
