This role is based in Edinburgh, Adelaide, SA, and is responsible for managing technical engagement and governance for Sustainment Projects under the JORN Support Contract.
The Project Engineer will collaborate with both internal and external teams to ensure the technical and operational success of multiple projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning, governance, and assurance of technical aspects of Ad Hoc Tasks under the JORN Support Contract.Manage integration of Sustainment Projects into the Defence Material Financial Plan (DMFP), providing technical input for project prioritization.Oversee technical milestone deliverables and project governance, ensuring projects meet performance standards.Resolve issues and identify solutions through analysis of alternative courses of action.Liaise between various teams (Engineering, Project Controls, Risk, Acquisition, etc.)
to ensure smooth project execution and risk mitigation.Monitor and review the progress of Sustainment Projects, ensuring technical deliverables are met.Support the development of business cases, briefs, and risk assessments for higher Defence authorities.Contribute to the 10-year planning process for projects and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.Regular monitoring and review of technical deliverables, such as Systems Requirement Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews.Input into the 10-year planning process based on technical risk prioritization.Ensure alignment of technical performance and risk management across projects.Selection CriteriaNV1 Security Clearance and eligibility to access US Export Controlled (ITAR) information.3-5 years' experience in a Defence Engineering role.Strong understanding of project lifecycles and experience in project environments.Ability to work across multiple teams, ensuring compliance with project deliverables and timelines.Experience in technical governance, project risk management, and milestone tracking.Familiarity with the requirements listed under primary responsibilities and key reporting outputs.Industry-specific certifications or qualifications in relevant engineering or project management fields.If this sounds like you - PLEASE APPLY NOW!Indigeco Acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognise their connection to land, waters and community.
