About you:
You are a qualified Psychologist with demonstrated knowledge and clinical skill in the provision of culturally capable clinical services, including therapeutic interventions, assessment, and care planning for consumers with complex mental health needs, ability to apply evidence-based practice within profession specific contemporary frameworks.
Your opportunity:
To deliver evidence-based clinical services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and evaluation, to consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health and ATODS service. To provide professional and clinical leadership in partnership with professional and operational managers.
Your role:
1. Using a biopsychosocial model conduct mental health assessments and assist consumers and families/ supports to develop a comprehensive individual recovery plan and facilitate the effective delivery, monitoring and evaluation of this plan.
2. Undertake discipline specific assessments and interventions within well-established clinical protocols.
3. Work with families and communities to promote recovery and community inclusion and to access generic supports, opportunities, and resources.
4. Develop and maintain collaborative work practices and relationships with other agencies (including non-government organisations), service providers and consumer and carer groups to ensure consumers have access to an integrated service system.
5. Effectively communicate at all levels across the organisation and with external stakeholders, including non-government organisations, consumers, and their carers.
