You will work with a multidisciplinary team of medical and allied health professionals on site to contribute to positive mental health outcomes for the Australian Defence Force personnel at Lavarack Health Centre. This role is currently Part Time 0.4FTE, with shifts Thursday and Friday weekly 7:30am - 4pm.
As a Psychologist, you'll make a positive impact by:
Performing intake assessments and risk assessments
Providing crisis intervention
Planning case formulation and treatment planning
Providing programmatic treatment interventions
Planning care coordination
Performing mental health screenings
Conducting group psycho-education
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Tindal Health Centre
Tindal Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Tindal, 15km outside Katherine, and 320km south-east of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 550 Defence members, surging at regular Air Force exercise periods throughout the year. The health centre provides general medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy and mental health services. It also operates a 10-bed inpatient low dependency day ward. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, and a half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday.

Shifts are lifestyle friendly in this Psychologist role, being Monday and Friday day shifts - no nights or weekends.
To be successful in this role you'll have the following:
Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a general Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule
You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
