Based in London and overseeing operations in UK & Europe the TIC, UK & Europe is the NSW Government’s senior representative driving greater engagement and enhanced economic opportunities between NSW and the region. The TIC, UK & Europe is expected to deliver commercial outcomes for NSW by facilitating inwards investment, assisting NSW businesses to export, and identifying and nurturing strategic commercial and institutional relationships. The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be a senior and experienced leader who can represent NSW’s whole-of-government strategic interests across the region and brings to the role a deep familiarity of Australia, UK & Europe. The candidate will possess: Experience working collaboratively across government and with industry to facilitate trade and investment opportunities for NSW Detailed knowledge of NSW’s domestic priorities and capabilities A strong understanding of the UK & European markets A record of leading geographically diverse teams The ability to implement strategy to ensure positive client outcomes Outstanding communication skills Profiling NSW’s economic and business credentials across the region, including developing networks of C-Suite executives, business groups, and commercial and government stakeholders to capture commercial outcomes for NSW is essential for this role. Tertiary qualifications including postgraduate qualifications in international relations and trade, economics, public policy/administration, business management or in a related discipline, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience and training will be required.
