Assistant Director, Governance and Support

Job Description
Experience working in a regulatory environment will be highly regarded! This well-known Federal Government agency that is Australia's national vocational education and training regulator is seeking an Assistant Director of Governance and Support to join one of their teams due to an upcoming restructure.
Your new team is responsible for leading and delivering the agency's digital transformation strategy. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will lead a small team for the digital transformation program. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Drive program functions including coordination and reporting of program risks/issues and management of program benefits.
2. Manage program governance including review of program frameworks, processes, and plans.
3. Oversee management and facilitation of the program board including supporting the secretariat function where required.
4. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on program performance and status.
5. Manage vendor contracts and the budget.
6. Oversee the logistics of program functions.
7. Provide strategic advice and guidance to the program board, chief digital officer, and senior officer on ongoing program performance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new position, you will have previous experience in a similar position within the Federal Government. You will also have:
* The ability to work within a team and provide leadership support.
* The ability to identify opportunities for improvement and support management of change.
* The ability to turn strategies into plans to execute.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and perform in a fast-paced environment.
* A demonstrated ability to manage collaborative stakeholder relationships to achieve positive outcomes.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
