We are seeking an individual that enjoys a challenge, has a well-developed understanding of procurement process, policies and procedures and is committed to effective procurement and contract management.As a Contract Management Officer, you will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Major Service Provider (MSP) Integrated Work Program (IWP) for J&A SPO, ensuring all aspects of the program are running smoothly and efficiently. In addition, you will provide expert commercial and financial support to project teams within the SPO to meet their contract management objectives. You will have the opportunity to help upskill J&A SPO staff on basic procurement and contract management principles. This will involve providing training, coaching, and mentoring to build their knowledge and capabilities in these areas.You will be responsible for contributing to a high performing team, developing and fostering productive relationships with stakeholders and clients, communicating with influence and driving commercial outcomes that comply with Commonwealth Government legislation and policy requirements. You will be exposed to unique opportunities to learn client-level procurement and contract management practices, identify and implement strategic initiatives focused on improving division level business management activities, and lead internal and external stakeholder engagement on contract management activities.About our TeamThe EWIS J&A SPO undertakes the acquisition and through-life-support of assigned Joint and Air Electronic Warfare Capabilities used by the Australian Defence Force.
