This includes advice on complex strategic commercial/financial analysis and advisory, procurement strategies development and delivery of the portfolio's capital and non-capital investment proposals within complex and varied service delivery models.This position delivers a range of advanced financial and strategic advice, modelling and analysis in relation to the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) portfolio's transactions to support the development and implementation of frameworks and policies to prioritise strategic investments, ensuring alignment to DJSIR strategic priorities. This role reviews and critically analyses the portfolio's proposed investments in line with agreed policies and frameworks, and with a particular focus on financial, commercial and risk issues, to improve value for money outcomes. Furthermore, this role provides advice and support on the implementation of approved investments including periodic investment reporting for internal and external stakeholders and supports with analysis on significant investment/commercial transactions and seeks opportunities to improve the portfolio's commercial and financial outcomes.This role also leads the review and analysis of proposed portfolio agency enterprise bargaining agreements, ensuring alignment with Government policy requirements and supported by financial sustainability assessments and will undertake the development and review of cabinet submissions, funding proposals, briefings and reports, ensuring issues and risks impacting the portfolio are actively managed.The TeamThe position of Senior Business and Commercial Analyst forms a part of the Corporate Services Group and Finance, Investment and Procurement Branch. This Branch supports best practice resource allocation, budget and financial management and procurement across the department.
