Senior Credit Analyst
Our client is an Australian non-bank lender based in Melbourne. This role is responsible for assessing and managing loan applications, conducting due diligence, and preparing credit proposals for approval. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sound credit decisions and ongoing portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct due diligence, project feasibility assessments, and financial analysis for potential credit proposals. Prepare detailed credit proposals to the Credit Committee for approval. Collaborate with the Head of Credit, Credit Manager, and Investment Team to assess the creditworthiness of new loan opportunities. Manage end-to-end credit application processes, ensuring compliance with pre- and post-settlement conditions. Oversee loan management for existing portfolios, including reviewing monthly progress reports, managing discharges, variations, and loan system maintenance. Assist in legal recovery actions and work-out strategies as required. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, FIRB) and contribute to risk and compliance reporting. Continuously improve policies, procedures, templates, and tools to enhance efficiency. Support ad-hoc projects and other business needs as required. Desired Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in commerce, business, property, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in banking, non-bank finance, or property/development finance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Proven ability to draft clear, concise, and well-structured credit proposals. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills being a plus. High integrity, professionalism, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Why Join?
