Job Details About the role Our Porta Products Mount Gambier facility is growing rapidly with our major construction development continuing over the next 5-7 years with ongoing work beyond that.
For this full time, permanent position, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner who will carry out the maintenance planning/scheduling function for the Maintenance, Engineering and Production teams, by developing short and long-term maintenance plans.
Partnering with other key stakeholders within the business unit, in this role you will be responsible to: Undertake planning and scheduling for Maintenance, Engineering and Production work centres Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance strategies for fixed plant infrastructure to ensure optimal availability and utilisation in accordance with operational requirements Develop, implement and assist in execution of major plant and annual shutdown plans for the production plant Provide planning support during major plant outage period Provide coaching and support for work management process within the CMMS Lead RCA work management data collection processes for required major equipment failures or related improvement opportunities, ensuring all actions are collected and actioned Ensuring work area and operations are in alignment with safety standards Weekly / daily equipment planning with a strategic approach to planning Working to targets and deadlines Prepare a rolling plan inc. work orders for maintenance, major overhauls & shut down work for work group and provide weekly plans to the teams Ensure all work packs (labour, parts, tasks, costs, etc) are uploaded and maintained in maintenance management system (Mainpac) Create and maintain work orders and requisitions Develop and maintain PM tasks and schedules Order parts/services and obtain quotes, liaising with Supply to expedite parts and contractor labour suppliers Ensure all parts, subcontractors and external services are ordered in a timely manner and are available at the time required Produce regular reports on the efficiency and effectiveness of planned work completed and provide advice for identified planned maintenance improvements; (Work Management Metrics) Maintain records of equipment detail, component histories and predicted component life Provide analysis and reporting on progress to planned change out schedules (Gantt charts) and equipment component remaining life tracking About you As our preferred candidate, you will have Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications – Mechanical or Electrical is desirable, but not essential.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Planner / Supervisor role.
Experience in use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Mainpac, Pronto, SAP, Ellipse Experience in timber, timber fibre or other heavy industry desirable, though not essential Current driver's license Competent user of Microsoft office suite including; Project, Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint High level knowledge of Australian Standards, all relevant State and National statutory and environmental requirements for classified plants Strong communication and organizational abilities Confident in making critical business decisions and solving problems effectively Goal oriented with the ability to plan and execute strategies successfully Positive, eager to learn, and able to collaborate with diverse teams Highly organized with excellent time management and task prioritization skills Strong problem-solving mindset, with exceptional communication and planning capabilities Committed to continuous improvement and proactive change management A team player who builds strong relationships and fosters collaboration Highly motivated with a drive to achieve business objectives and success To be successful, you must be motivated and be willing to put in the effort to complete the role to the high standard required.
