Overview
The Resource Pool is an excellent career opportunity to work in the largest regional health facility in the South East. To be part of the Resource Pool, Nurses cover shift shortfalls across all wards as required providing a wide range of clinical experience, working over 7 days and inclusive of night duty. A combination of full and part-time positions available with flexibility to support work-life balance.
Enjoying a wonderful country location, you will be able to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of health care providers, to achieve health outcomes for a range of inpatients and outpatients of Mt Gambier Hospital and its surrounding communities.
Joining our supportive team within a friendly and welcoming country environment, you will assist with the provision of professional high quality direct nursing/midwifery care aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options.
You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team.
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will have effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a rural healthcare setting.
