Weld Square Primary School is a school that pursues academic excellence and offers a recognised best practice pastoral care program to all its students. The school, with its well-established gardens is surrounded by native bushlands and parklands and located in the suburb of Morley; 10 km north-east of Perth, also actively promotes environmental sustainability throughout the whole school community.
We are seeking a responsible and committed individual to join our friendly team.
The Role
As a Gardener you will provide gardening, grounds, and facility management support to ensure a safe and clean school environment. The successful applicant will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition, and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management. The successful applicant will perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other Gardener/Handyperson duties in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines. The successful applicant will ideally possess good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to receive and carry out instructions as required. The successful applicant also maintains tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition and provides advice and support to the principal on school grounds maintenance and maintains accurate gardening records.

* consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
