But enough about us, let's talk about you We are in the market for a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage the City's property, procurement and contracts services teams.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Governance and Commercial Services, this role will lead continuous improvements across the organisation in the delivery of contract management and procurement requirements in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 and policy requirements.
In addition, the role is responsible for the management of the City's property services portfolio, which includes commercial and community leasing and licensing, and real property disposal and acquisition.

Proven leadership skills High level of interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills Highly developed dispute resolution and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively, build professional relationships and cooperate with a diverse range of internal stakeholders Demonstrated ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively and to direct staff Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality to deal appropriately with sensitive and high-level issues.
What can you bring to the team?
A Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Commerce (Major in relevant field including completion of contract law units) Hold a current unrestricted "C-A" or "C-B" class national driver's licence 5-10 years working at a senior level providing advice relating to the management of procurement functions, commercial services and contract administration.
Minimum 3 years' team management experience Experience working with, and knowledge of, the Local Government Act 1995 and relevant legislation.
