Construction Supervisor
Georgiou has done it again with another major project win!
As a result of Georgiou's significant growth after securing the Mandurah Estuary Bridge Duplication project, we are seeking to grow our team with the appointment of a Construction Supervisor to be based on Site in Mandurah. The successful candidate will run the casting bed for the construction of the superstructure and co-ordinate bridge launching activities.
You will be trusted to:
* Monitor your part of the project to ensure your section or package of work is delivered on time, to budget and within quality standards
* Supervise a work team to deliver project outcomes
* Identify and assist with the acquisition of resources ensuring adequate supplies, labour hire, etc. are available for the project
* Assist the project management team with the development and implementation of process improvements which add value to the operations
* Carry out daily safety checks and ensuring worksites are in a state consistent with safety and health standards
* Attend all investigations of accidents and incidents within the area of responsibility
* Conduct and participate in site meetings (toolboxes, pre-start, inductions and other health and safety requirements)
* Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
What we are seeking:
* Experience formwork, reinforcing and concrete construction supervisory with a carpentry or formwork trade background in the construction industry.
* Additional experience but not limited to formwork and formwork systems, bridge construction, incremental launch bridges and construction within and over water.
* Ability to manage and run self performing crews in excess of 15 people and manage plant and equipment such as cranes, telehandlers, concrete pumps, trucks small earthworks plant and the like
* Ability to manage interface with other subcontractors and other project teams such as the civils teams
* Experience in managing critical risks and implementing controls including continual improvement on completing tasks such as heavy lifting, temporary works designs
* Have either a relevant trade background or relevant qualifications such as carpentry or formwork
* Ability to show competence in planning projects and recording project progress
* Ability to drive production and meet targets safely
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build strong relationship with project stakeholders at all levels
* Able to travel to or stay in provided accommodation in Mandurah daily for work in order to work the required project hours.
* Able to be flexible with work hours, to accommodate early morning preparation works such as concrete pours (Georgiou is keenly aware of staff hour management to ensure wellbeing of personnel is upheld and will manage the fluid hours across the project)
