Global Freight Forwarder and Customs Brokerage located in the Alexandria area is seeking to recruit an Senior Account Manager / Customer Service Representative to maintain a varied portfolio of clients and develop a rewarding career. Duties and responsibilities include:
1. First point of contact for client enquiries
2. Building and maintaining client relationships
3. Purchase order management
4. Quotations / rate negotiations
5. Updating rates (Autorating)
6. Chasing documentation and ensuring correct paperwork is received
7. Passing documentation on for customs clearance
8. Job registration, Pre-alerts, EDO's, Underbonds
9. Monitoring cargo availability, status & check transshipments
10. Sea/Air cargo reporting
11. Paying charges / Organise EDO's
12. Organising local & interstate road & rail movements
13. Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
14. Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff
The successful applicant should possess:
15. Cargowise EDI experience is highly desired
16. Prior Import Sea Operations / Customer Service experience with a freight forwarder in the Australian market would be advantageous
17. Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
18. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
19. Time management skills, attention to detail and proficiency
20. Ability to apply creativity and problem-solving skills
