About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst (Decision Support Analyst) to join the team on an ongoing basis. This challenging yet rewarding role will allow you to showcase your business partnering, financial, commercial and analytical skills.
The Finance Analyst (Decision Support Analyst) role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.
As the Finance Analyst (Decision Support Analyst) within the Finance Business Partnering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting other business divisions through their planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, applying your financial analysis, financial modelling, communication and developing your influencing skills.
In addition to this you will play a critical role in the ongoing reporting of results, providing insights and analysis to stakeholders throughout the business enabling financial control. Your responsibilities extend to assess and contributing to the preparation of investment opportunities. You will support financial processes across the organisation by building strong relationships with divisional teams and by acting as a point of contact on financial and commercial matters.
Your combination of analytical and reporting capability and your communication and influencing skills will enable you to translate financial concepts into clear and understandable language for your stakeholders.
Outside the core responsibilities outlined above you will work with the broader finance team to assist in meeting financial regulatory requirements, be involved in continuous improvement activities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial systems and demonstrate flexibility in meeting the evolving requirements of a large, complex and growing organisation.
About You
Having a finance background with experience in business partnering, planning and analytics or corporate finance, to which you can apply your demonstrated analytical skills. You ideally have experience with enterprise accounting software (Oracle, SAP or equivalent) and are capable of transforming data (using your excel skills) to deliver meaningful insights and influence outcomes. You are versatile and organised, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and the resolution of ad-hoc requests. If you are detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, thrive in a highly collaborative environment, this role is an excellent opportunity for your professional growth.
Required Qualifications
1. Advanced Diploma in Accounting or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
Desirable
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Economics.
