Mater Health is looking for a Senior Psychologist working on a permanent part-time basis.
About the role
The Social Work and Psychology department at Mater Health provides a broad range of public and private acute health services with adults, women’s health, neonatology, children and adolescent services. The Mater Adults Psychology team provides specialist services to inpatients and outpatients across the hospital in areas such as Oncology, Gastroenterology, Cardiac, Renal and Neurology.
Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Psychologist within the Psychology team, you will deliver high level assessment and intervention for the Mater Psychology Service, provide leadership and mentorship within the department in your area of clinical expertise and lead quality improvements to continuously improve and support patient centred, evidence based care.
Provide comprehensive assessment and intervention for patients with a range of medical and psychological conditions
Develop, implement, and monitor individualised treatment plans, utilising evidence-based therapeutic approaches
Deliver independent clinical judgement with minimal supervision, based on valid and reliable evidence
Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, students, support staff and volunteers within the psychology team
Support the team leader in the operational management of workflows and prioritisation of caseloads within the psychology team
Leading research projects to influence clinical practice and processes
Contribute to the development of new and existing services, models of care, procedures and protocols that support high quality patient care and efficient and cost effective service delivery within area of clinical expertise
Identify, initiate, plan and evaluate quality and service improvement activities to achieve positive outcomes for clinical services and patients
Actively contribute to the research culture and collaborate on clinical research activities
Significantly contribute to promoting a learning culture within the team through mentoring, clinical supervision and delivery of training
About you
Essential Qualifications
Postgraduate Qualifications in Clinical, Clinical Neuropsychology or Educational and Developmental Psychology
Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and an area of Endorsed Practice in Clinical, Clinical Neuropsychology or Educational and Developmental Psychology.
