Melville Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Marketing Officer to join their fantastic team.
The Marketing and Media Officer is responsible for developing, producing and maintaining a wide range of communications, publications, and materials to support marketing activities and events. This role involves managing online platforms creating engaging content, coordinating promotional events, and building strong media relationships. The Marketing and Media Officer plays a crucial part in enhancing the school’s brand image and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
The successful applicant should be proactive and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment, particularly within the Executive team.
The role may require after work hours at events such as Parent Information evenings or Graduation. Arrangements will be in place as compensation for this out of hours work.
The successful applicant will ideally have strong knowledge of social media platforms and the ability to actively seek out new opportunities to increase the reach of online communications within our school community. This includes managing the school website and LED sign. Graphic design skills and knowledge of design software will be an advantage.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
1. Experience in assisting with coordination of events and marketing activities and associated financial management and budgeting requirements.
2. Initiative and organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
3. Sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
4. Sound conceptual, analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify appropriate solutions.
5. Well-developed computer application skills.
