1. Provide one-on-one support for students with attendance below 80%, identified by the student team
2. Provide support with engagement and supervision for individuals or groups of up to four students within a controlled classroom setting
3. Support the Student Team with monitoring and following up on attendance
4. Working with the Student Team to develop holistic attendance support plans with students and families
5. Make community referrals for students with complex needs
6. Support the school's Disability and Inclusion programs and participate in SSGs and Care Team Meetings as needed
7. Assist identified students with learning and reintegration into school life
8. Create and supervise lunchtime activities for selected student groups, both on and off campus
9. Develop and run group programs to boost school connectedness and engagement
10. Organise after-school activities to support student wellbeing and engagement
11. Facilitate external programs that align with whole-school engagement and Student Team priorities
12. Support student transitions to other educational providers in collaboration with Heads of Students and Heads of Years
13. Provide flexible support for students beyond school hours (, walking a student from the bus stop to school at 8:30am if required)
14. Address student needs during the school day to ensure full engagement in learning
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Team and Student Team
Qualifications:
Applicants must be a qualified Youth Worker and have a minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, or Certificate IV in Pastoral Care or equivalent qualification.

Port Melbourne Secondary College is a new 7-12 school, located in the heart of Melbourne. Situated in the new Fishermans Bend precinct, the college is in its early stages of development and opened with its first Year 7 cohort in 2022.
