Casual Teacher - Visual Arts (Talent Pool)TAFE Queensland is seeking highly skilled visual arts educators with expertise in digital media, printmaking, and sculpture. Higher education qualifications and advanced experience in exhibiting are highly desirable.As a Teacher of TAFE Queensland, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning, teaching and assessment to a wide range of clients through:Outcome focussed vocational education and training (VET) programs;Linking with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers;Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies;Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement.About YouYou will:Hold a Diploma, Masters or degree in Fine Arts, Art Education or a related field preferably.Possess demonstrated expertise and proficiency in one or more artistic mediums.Possess previous teaching experience at a college or university preferably.Have a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in art education.Actively participate in professional organisations and ongoing professional development.Mandatory Qualifications/Requirementsa. Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed:CUA51120 - Diploma of Visual Arts; or higher level qualificationb. Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; orTAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; orTAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus: TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; andTAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B;A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, orTAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; orTAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; orA diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education;c. Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;d. Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;e.
