About the Role
Permanent full-time role
Salary Range: $103,00 - $127,000 p.a + super
In this role you will be supporting database application development, database design, creation, and testing activities across various business services and applications. In addition, you will also be optimizing database objects to maximize their utilization. Collaborating closely with the Database Administrators, you will be required to assist in managing database availability and performance, including incident and problem management.
We support flexible working arrangements for all our team members so you will be able to enjoy the freedom of working from home or at our Head Office in Osborne Park.
Qualifications
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skill and qualities.
* Within an agile delivery team design, develop, test and deliver database changes.
* Actively participate in agile delivery team activities such as stand up, card kick-off, business review, sprint/team planning, showcases, retrospectives.
* Support, maintain, tune and continuously improve RWWA databases.
* Develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives through use of TDD, Continuous Integration and agile iterative delivery to ensure database development work is at highest quality.
* Select techniques based on breadth of knowledge of the strengths, weaknesses and expected performance of different approaches whilst maintaining cost efficient implementations
* Establish good practice in the development, evaluation, monitoring and deployment of all data systems as well as have an advanced understanding of all of RWWA’s key data systems
* Analyse and report findings and remediate simple issues using algorithms implemented in standard software frameworks and tools
* High level understanding of data governance principles and guidelines and correct methodologies for ensuring RWWA’s data across all systems is maintained in accordance with best practices for data governance
The following skills and qualities will be highly regarded:
* Extensive experience in complex database design and development, within medium to large enterprises
* Experience in working with Oracle in high volume environments
* Demonstrated experience with APEX
* Experience with Snowflake, AWS and Microsoft SQL Server
* AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect
* Experience with various Data Transform technologies including DBT and DMS
