Career Opportunities: Laboratory Technician (7000)Your new career opportunity: Laboratory TechnicianResidential position in the close-knit community of Gladstone, surrounded by stunning natural landmarksEnjoy financial benefits including domestic relocation assistance and subsidised private health insurancePermanent, full-time role offering stability and growthOpen to either shift work (4,5,5 roster- day and night shifts) or fortnightly daywork, based on operational needsAbout your roleReporting directly to the Supervisor - Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Safe, Stable, and Sustainable vision by:Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with site health, environmental, and community policies, systems, and procedures.Collecting plant samples and conducting analyses safely, accurately, and within designated timeframes, reporting results to customers.Monitoring results and escalating any samples or findings that fall outside the usual range.Contributing to laboratory improvement initiatives and supporting maintenance activities.Being flexible to work on rotating shifts (12-hour day and night shifts) or fortnightly daywork based on the operational needs.To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:Strong commitment to safety in the workplace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.Laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial environment, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technical processes.Proficiency in computer applications for data analysis and report generation.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.A current C Class Driver’s Licence.A current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to obtain one upon commencement.What’s on offerWe know there are many aspects of our employees’ lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life.
