MACA is in search of experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the team at Gruyere on an 8/6 roster.
Situated roughly 200kms North-East of Laverton, Gruyere Gold Mine holds a significant position within the mining sector, known for its world-class operation, displaying substantial gold reserves and a proven track record of production excellence. Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the efficient supervision of the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical plant.
* To be responsible to the site senior executive or exploration manager for the safe operation of electrical plant at the mine.
* Ensuring that all work carried out by persons in relation to electrical plant and installations at the mine is adequately supervised.
* Ensuring that electrical plant and installations at the mine are installed and tested in accordance with the Act and maintained in a safe working condition.
* Stopping the use of any electrical plant or installation at the mine considered to be dangerous.
* Reporting to the site senior executive or exploration manager any situation which may affect the safe use of electricity or contravene the Act.
* Investigating, recording in the electrical logbook, and reporting as required.
* Recording up to date information in the electrical logbook kept for the mine under regulation 641C Electrical Log Books.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* W.A A Grade Electrical License or tertiary qualifications as a minimum.
* High Voltage Switching Certificate.
* Electrical Contractor Nominees WAE200.
* Over 10 years of electrical experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role within mining.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
* Ability to develop trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring operational excellence.
* In-depth knowledge of Australian standards, regulations, and codes of practice related to HS&E, construction, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
* A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver's License.
