Join our award-winning club as a Chef in Regional North Queensland, Mount Isa. We seek a hardworking and dedicated individual to lead our kitchen team.Duties and Responsibilities: Plan menus, estimate food costs, and prepare food with managers or head chef.Monitor dish quality at all stages of preparation and presentation.Order food, kitchen supplies, and equipment.Prepare and store food, maintaining stock rotation and control.Prepare meals to high standards of presentation, portion control, and quality.Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures.Liaise with Head Chef or Managers on functions or special requirements.Maintain kitchen equipment and tools.Update knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends.Train and supervise kitchen staff.Assist with kitchen rosters and staffing reviews.Maintain high standards of hygiene, OH&S, and building safety.Attend to customer complaints promptly and satisfactorily.Select and train staff as required.Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery.We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience.
