About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Lead Martech Platform Engineer, Marketing Technology, and working closely with internal stakeholders, to deliver best-in-class Martech solutions and drive ambitious projects. The Martech Development Engineer is responsible for the analysis and design of technology solutions including architecture to meet the specific needs of the client. They develop/code, configure and maintain business functionality including applications and infrastructure with a specific focus on Marketing Technology; integrate and coordinate applications and infrastructure to deliver business outcomes and drive interoperability. They manage and coordinate their deployment / release pipeline, real-time monitoring and IT operations; and incorporate automation in every stage of the application lifecycle. They have knowledge of the application and infrastructure to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Specialist advice - Actively maintains knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms with a solid understanding of the marketing landscape with a solid understanding of CMSs, CDPs, CRMs, and other key MarTech tools.
* Software design - Designs software components and modules using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed software design standards, patterns and methodology.
* Programming/software development - Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex programs/scripts and integration software services.
* Testing - Accepts responsibility for creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability).
* Release and deployment - Assesses and analyses release components. Provides input to scheduling. Carries out the builds and tests in coordination with testers and component specialists maintaining and administering the tools and methods – manual or automatic - and ensuring, where possible, information exchange with configuration management. Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained.
* Application support - Maintains application support processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
About you
* The occupant of this position will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in Development Engineering and a front-end Martech development role.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and will be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
HEW 8 Salary – Base range - $110,939.54 - $124,803.81 + 17% super. Full package range - $129,799.26 - $146,020.47.
This is a fixed term opportunity until 31/12/25 and can be based at our Nathan or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other campuses.
