Description:
The Student Advising Assistant assists the College of Sciences and Technology Advising Office in day-to-day operations and assists with the front desk.
Duties:
* Assists administrative staff at the front desk and answers incoming phone calls
* Performs general office filing and copying
* Assists Academic Advisors, including Directors, in day-to-day business activities
* Answers basic questions and directs students to appropriate resources
* Provides peer-to-peer support with course registration, campus resources, etc.
* Assists in the preparation and execution of advising workshops, orientation sessions, and informational events
* Greets all students, staff, faculty, and guests
* All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Must be able to multi-task and maintain confidentiality
* Must be customer service oriented
* Must be able to work all available shifts and be flexible during office peak times
* Must have some knowledge of UHD and its respective programs
Qualifications:
* Must be a current UHD student
