BackgroundEstablished in 1931, Searle Bros. is a long running construction company with a presence throughout Victoria.The range of successfully completed projects includes a large number of schools, emergency service facilities, health, industrial and commercial premises, and high end residential projects.The PositionWe are seeking a suitably experienced Senior Site Supervisor on a fixed term contract to complete a $4M commercial project in Ballarat.The project will run for approximately 1 year with the option for additional stages that may extend the contract for over 2 years.The position will report to the Project Manager and be fully supported by the project team.Key Responsibilities Supervising workers, subcontractors and work activities, preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.Assessing and managing safety hazards, and carrying out regular inspections & raising safety concerns at the appropriate level.Helping project managers to plan the work program; assist in coordinating deliveries of materials, plant and equipment.Attending site management meetings.Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Project Manager and ensure they are appropriately updated and informed on progress and any concerns are escalated in a timely manner.Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all Searle Bros staff and external contractors.Using problem-solving skills to quickly resolve issues and keep the project on track.Selection Criteria Carpentry background preferable.Certificate III in OHS.Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.Ability to communicate effectively and manage and schedule subcontracted trades throughout the build process.Experience in commercial construction and heritage refurbishment preferable.Must have Driver's Licence, White Card, and have or be able to get Working With Children check.Salary & Employee BenefitsAn attractive salary package to be negotiated with the successful applicant including vehicle if desired.How to applyPlease submit your application outlining your experience and qualifications via email to: ******For further information contact our Bendigo Office on (03) 5442 7***Applications close 5pm on Wednesday 13th November, 2024. #J-18808-Ljbffr
