Boilermaker Bradken is a leading solutions provider and global manufacturer of innovative, custom-engineered products for the resources sector.With a 3000-strong workforce, our ability to adapt and evolve keeps us positioned firmly as global leaders in the wear solutions market for the resources sector.Here at Bradken, opportunities are determined and driven by you.We actively encourage and promote internal progression and self-development opportunities to those who champion the Bradken way and deliver great results.About the Role: As a Boilermaker, you will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining operational efficiency and longevity of the products we manufacture.You will show up each day with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment to helping ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality.In this role you will be responsible for: Perform fabrication duties and welding techniques including, but not limited to, GMAW, FCAW Ability to pass an AS1554.1 weld tests to the above techniques - if required Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Ensure measurements and components meet required tolerances.Undertaking materials handling / processing and associated tasks with the emphasis on Safety, Quality, productivity, cost, continuous improvement, delivery and Environmental concerns Participating in any required site and training service provider learning, training and skill development Ensuring compliance to ISO9001 and all Bradken Quality policies and procedures and participate where required in any associated Quality audits Assist and work with maintenance and engineering personnel where required Coaching and mentoring apprentices and junior personnel as required Support the Fabrication Shop with any additional tasks as requored.About You: You will have the enthusiasm and self-drive to work to the highest standard.You will champion safety, mentor less experienced staff, and help deliver great results.You will also have: Formal trade qualification 3 years' experience in a mechanical trade within a manufacturing environment (preferred) Knowledge of safe working procedures Sound numeric reasoning Ability to communicate in English Knowledge of process improvement techniques (desirable)
