An exciting opportunity exists in our Collection Department in our Gold Coast North area for a Pathology Specimen Collector. This position is offered on a Part Time basis and will be required to work shifts between the hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday, with participation in a weekend and public holiday roster required as per operational demand. As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will be collecting blood & coordinating specimen samples from patients, using your empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare.
Reporting to the Collection Lead, and joining a passionate team, you will play a pivotal role in positively impacting the health of Australians.
Your key responsibilities will include:
4. Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
5. Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
6. Deliver documentation within strict turnaround times
7. Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
8. Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers

About you
16. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy / Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
17. Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable
18. You have excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
19. You are organised, with strong time management and attention to detail
20. You are able to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic
21. Hold a valid Driver's license and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
22. Hold a working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain one
23. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work
If you don’t have qualifications or experience in Phlebotomy, but have a healthcare background and are passionate about helping others, have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, and are interested in the role, we will set you up for success by providing you with full training and mentoring,
