At all times, our goal is to use our expertise to provide specialist advice to balance development, impact avoidance and offsetting results that achieve the best possible environmental outcome.You will be responsible for:As a Principal Ecologist, you will spearhead our ecological initiatives, providing leadership and technical expertise to guide projects from inception to completion. With a focus on innovation and excellence, you will lead by example, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Your role will involve cultivating client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the growth and success of our consultancy firm. You will be willing to play a key role in the development and implementation of the growth strategy for the ecology workstream in ACT.Senior EcologistAs a Senior Ecologist, you will play a pivotal role in our team, leading ecological surveys, conducting impact assessments, and providing expert advice to clients. You will leverage your extensive experience in ecological project management to drive successful outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders will be key as you contribute to the development of sustainable solutions and mitigation strategies. Demonstrated experience in the collection and interpretation of ecological and spatial data is required.Requirements:A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Principal Ecologist and 5+ years as a Senior EcologistDegree qualified in ecology, environmental science, zoology, botany or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience in managing medium and large-scale ecological assessment and management projectsExperienced in developing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including clients, government agencies and fellow team membersProven track record of leading ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analysesStrong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policiesStrong verbal and written communication skills including experience in preparing and reviewing reports.
