The key focus of this role is to provide leadership to the compliance team and drive safety compliance outcomes for our display homes, sales offices, corporate offices, warehouses throughout NSW & ACT.
More specifically, you will:
Provide leadership, support, and training to our compliance team members and oversee the successful onboarding of our subcontractors in line with safety standardsCoordinate emergency preparedness requirements such as first aid, emergency wardens, emergency procedures and fire safety complianceConduct periodic documented safety and compliance inspections including review of SWMSMonitor corrective activities to ensure risks are eliminated, isolated or minimised and maintain the various registers and reporting requirements of the WHS Management SystemCoordinate a range of activities that reduce the risk of injury and discomfort to workers (test & tag/ergonomic checks)Assist with the development and execution of the WHS annual safety plan including facilitating WHS induction and training to improve safety awarenessProvide training and guidance for WHS committees and coordinate their reporting requirements to ensure they have the skills to identify risks, operate and report effectivelyAbout you You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger.
In addition, you will:
Thorough understanding of WHS Act and Standards, including development and implementation of WHS management systems, policies and proceduresStrong organisational, planning and coordination skills with an ability to meet deadlinesInnovative and strategic thinking skills with the ability to see and suggest ways to continually improve, and a positive approach to continuous improvementDemonstrated leadership skills with a high level of communication, influencing, interpersonal and presentation skillsCertificate IV in Workplace Health and SafetyExperience working in a similar role, ideally with experience using LinkSafeInterested? The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening and depending on the inherent requirements of the role, may involve the completion of a National Police Check and pre-employment medical.
