The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator in our Slabmaking team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
The Slab making department uses a combination of AC/DC and Inverter driven manual cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 1 to 450t to meet the diverse lifting requirements for a range of slabmaking equipment. In this role, you will focus on the coordination of maintenance activities to these cranes while supervising maintenance works.

What Will You Do?
As the electrical maintenance coordinator, you will:
supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section
coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
respond to the day-to-day electrical availability and reliability issue
More About You
As an experienced electrician, you will have natural leadership qualities, work effectively in cross-functional groups and thrive in a team environment. You will also have:
electrical trade qualifications, or an advanced diploma in electrical engineering
an NSW Electrical licence
experience with troubleshooting PLC Systems, Drives and AC/DC motors.
